Me: Easton, are you going to be sweet to the new baby?"
E: Imma poke its eyes.

Excuse me, sir...
As we're getting in the car to leave Easton's babysitter's house, his little friend Bob* is walking out the door with his dad...
Macey: Excuse me, sir.
Bob's dad: Yes, sweetie?
Macey: Bob bit my brother last week.
My mouth dropped a little. I didn't know whether to crack up laughing or profusely apologize, so a mixture of the two happened. While it was true that ol' Bob had bitten Easton the week before, I really didn't think his daddy needed to hear about it.
Poor Bob probably thought he had gotten away with the crime, little did he know that big sisters don't miss out on a chance to take up for their baby brothers.

Nanners
M (almost 4): Mommy, I really love your nanners.
Me: Hmmm...really? What exactly does that mean?
M: You know, when you say "please" and "thank you."
Me: Ahhh, gotcha. Those are called manners, sweetie.

Cheez-Its
Me: Easton, do you have a job?
E: No
Me: Can you buy Cheez-Its?
E: No
Me: Then please stop throwing them to the dogs!
E: Oh. OK.

Waincoat
Me: Easton, I like your jacket. That's cool, man.
E: (somewhat angrily) It's a waincoat!
Me: Oh, I love your raincoat!
E: (huge smile) Thank you, momma.

Dinner Conversation...
Me: "Macey, why'd you get put in time out at Grandma's house?"
Macey: "Cause."
Me: "That's not a reason. Why'd you go to time out?"
Macey: (stuffs food in her mouth and starts mumbling)
Me: "Huh?"
Macey: "Sorry. Can't talk with food in my mouth."
Me: "OK, now you're done. Why'd you go to time out?"
Macey: (stuffs more food in her mouth, finishes the bite, then starts coughing)
Macey: "Sorry. Can't talk when I'm coughing."
Me: "Seriously. Time out? Why?"
Macey: "Cause."
This went on for quite a while...
